Who we are

Hello! My name is Daisy Campanella. I started Malibu Furry Friends back in 2019 in Malibu, California. I originally worked at an animal hospital in Malibu as a kennel attendant and did some work in the vet department during my two years of employment there. As a kennel attendant my duties were to walk & feed pets staying overnight with us. I also dealt with dogs and sometimes cats in the bathing department. I learned how to administer medications, nail trims, anal gland expressions, and insulin shots on both cats and dogs.

I decided to start my own Business because let’s face it, what animal actually likes to be in a kennel overnight away from their family? I saw the reality of boarding your pet. Diarrhea, hot spots, aggression, sibling fights….etc. I thought to myself, it would be so much easier for someone to just stay at home with these pets where they are in their own comfortable home. So I quit my job and passed out some business cards and my business took off not long after.

I accumulated more than 30 clients in less than 2 years including celebrity clients. Then my family’s Malibu home had burned down during the woolsey fires and they had all relocated to Florida in 2018. Two years later I moved to Clearwater, Florida to be closer to my family. Since I have been here I have met tons of amazing people and so far have over 25 clients in the area. I did take a hiatus and became a personal assistant for about a year but am back to doing what I love most… being with animals!
